Webcam

KMNR now has a webcam installed in our control room! Just click the ‘webcam’ link above and enjoy the view.

Who knows what crazy stuff DJs do while they’re on air? If you do find something interesting (like a DJ picking their nose), be sure to save it to the archive so that way it’ll be around forever.

Freaker's Ball!

KMNR’s annual Freaker’s Ball is just around the corner. Us here at the station are working hard on getting bands lined up and everything situated, but hopefully it’ll be the best one yet!

So, you might be asking, “What kind of hootenanny is this Freaker’s Ball, anyway?” It’s a Halloween party which KMNR throws every year, chock full of good music. There will also probably be a costume contest as usual, so make sure to wear your Halloween costume!

Here’s the how it’s going down:

Where: Miner Rec Building (across 10th St from Multipurpose)
When: Friday Nov. 2
What bands: Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship, Jah Roots, and Thieves and Liars

Be sure to keep an eye on this page for when we have more details (bands, exact times, etc).

Fall Updates

Welcome to the new KMNR website! Hopefully this will become a useful tool for all KMNR information and news.

Fall semester is coming around the corner which means that 24-hour operation is starting back up as well as our Fall concert, Freaker’s Ball is not too far off!

Also, since it’s the start of a new semester, KMNR is looking to hire new DJs. No experience is necessary since we’ll teach you everything you need to know to operate an FM broadcast station. Applications will be available during the first few weeks at the station. More information is available via the Hiring link above.

Even if you’re not interested in becoming a DJ, feel free to stop by and say hi! We’re located in the first floor of Altman Hall, in the Quad.
